Kohunlich Mayan Ruins - Costa Maya, Mexico
Jeez it smells like they have rotting corpses like the Bogged skeletons.
Omg that's beautiful!
I've done this before. It's a lot of fun. But one thing that doesn't make sense is climbing. This wet Slippery Rock and human chain. That is got to be the dumbest s***I've ever heard yourself you ever go and climb that fall. Do not hold people's hands. You need both hands.
Looks fun but super crowded! Is it worth braving the crowds, people who have been there?
Anselmo kipiaca
Your intro noise is makes me want to claw my ears out.
I can’t believe I was once ashamed of my heritage, now, I listen to my father with pleasure when he speaks in Maya. Thank you for filming my dad for this! It is really special.
Why were you ashamed boy? Who made you ashamed? What exactly were you ashamed of?
@@jensz9360 There are a lot of cultural factors to be understood. Racism and discrimination embedded in the remains of the once colonial cast system. You’d be surprised to hear some comments made by older folks which made a lot of Maya change their last names, migrate to cities, abandon their traditional clothing and pursue a “civilized” life. I NOW have the comprehension of this social and cultural issue, with the news that this generation is the one making a change. But, it is also the reason why I don’t speak Maya, whereas my father does.
@@danieljosuebalamceballos9416 Yeah man, no need to be ashamed of who you are. If someone doesnt like it who cares. I think it also stems from the previous generations telling the young ones that in order to make something of themselves they had to pretend to not be Mayan. This made the young kids think there was something wrong with them. The adults should have instilled confidence and skill in the young ones instead of self hatred and low self esteem due to their identity.
@@jensz9360 that’s because even adults believe that. You have no idea how many times I heard grandparents and parents say racial slurs hoping absurdly to scale up economically… it is a cultural thing, it isn’t a matter of self esteem alone. I had my wake up call in 2018, and many now are feeling proud of it, but you can’t change culture in one day. So, we’d appreciate understanding the context before questioning the issue from an outside point of view. Anyway, as I said before, this is the generation doing something about it.
@@danieljosuebalamceballos9416 Trust me , I would believe it. I think yu assumed that I have an "outside point of view". Its a problem within the culture, they dont bring the kids up and teach them to value themselves instead the adults try and make it out to be like they will only have value if they kiss up to certain other groups.
I’m impressed at the way you edited this! And super proud to see my father as your guide. Hello from Costa Maya.
How does the wax hold the bead like glue?
Why would you put the most annoying child shouting at the start of the video
Beautiful work
Excelente
No es "Del Pacífico" El verdadero nombre es "Ex Hotel Riviera de Ensenada"
De hecho tambien es conocido de esa forma 😒 .. antes era hotel playa . Riviera del pacifico o riviera de Ensenada
Would have been nice to come back there if not there had been a horde of people demanding and selling you something or simply trying to rip you off. Worst tourist trap ever.
what's the name of the rhythm in the background?
Take this down and remove that hideous intro and outro. Its not professional or cute, just embarrassing, annoying, and deafening loud.
i wish to visit this place
What is the music dear Turkish friend?
2020?😅🌺
Siapa yang kesini gara-gara the shiny peanut?
Its so creepy but so intriguing, you wont ever see anything like this anywhere... when I first learned about this was 10 or so years ago, on Rick Steves, I dont know whats true but I heard some go to their spot and wait day and night for the day to come.
Hi love it
Rip nipsey
Gracias para compartir este video. Me gusta mucho!
So many tourist there. What month of the year would be good and less people?
A thousand of people go everyday you can get away from that love all you of to do is when you going bring me with you so I can hold your hand like I am giving birth 😊❤
Wow awesome 2 foot slide. Looks like a waste of time
Background music is terrible. Audio videos should not have music as it only makes it harder to hear the audio.
ear rape warning for those wearing headphones, the intro is *loud*
I realized!!!!! Yes!!!!!! Lol

That's my country
The neat thing about this place is the ability to explore the ruins and enter the buildings. Most of the other sites are fenced off to the point you cannot even get close to the ruins.
Couldn't agree more! Being free to get lost in the ruins, in the middle of the jungle is such an amazing and unique experience. Ditch the crowds, manicured lawns and ropes and visit this place!
We did in december 2017, brill
It is a pretty unique experience!
Went there many times
That must have been great! I only managed to get there the once and it was totally worth it!
I used to be John Huston's oxygen supplier in the U.S. His last home was not secluded nor in a upper class neighborhood in Los Angeles. I always carried my SLR back then but never took photo of him.
Loved it when I was there. Just watch out for people trying to hustle you. A vendor asked my name and before I could object he had carved my name into an ugly wooden doll and then told me it was $10.
Nechole777 Yup, happened to me too. But I was like, hell no and kept on walking!
Nechole777 i
was there last month loved it but beware of the flea markets that are a must stop for the excursion busses,, big tourist traps. other than that beautiful place
Was there 1985 and the flea market kids were a pain in the ass wanting to sell me weed.
